PlantSuccess Newsletter
Volume I, Issue 6
8/15/01
Welcome to the PlantSuccess
Newsletter.
One of the admonitions I
remember from the early days of computers was along the line: Computers have
the innate ability to take an ordinary problem and make it very big, very fast.
Such was the case with last week’s Newsletter and many of you receiving
anywhere from 2 to 16 copies.
It seems that my
mail-server, Bellsouth.net, was replacing servers at the time and aliases, or
something else, went awry. I received lots of queries, most of them helpful;
thanks for your patience. My regrets for the clutter and inconvenience caused.

See if you agree.
Meta Group Research
reports that more than 80 percent of IT measurement programs fail due to
poor planning, unrealistic expectations and a failure to link appropriate

After people, most executives regard information as
their company’s most important asset. Joe Morray, founder and head of Trinity
Technologies Corporation has his company so focused on this notion, that they
trademarked the term “Information Asset.” The target of Trinity’s focus is the integration
of Technology, People and Work Processes to benefit the management of the
plant lifecycle. In fact, Trinity Technologies has been instrumental in
building the Owner-Operator Forum – launched at PlantSuccess ’99.
