Sieg, Jr. has over 38 years of extensive experience in operations leadership and operational excellence roles. John has been a part of BP for nearly 5 years, and he currently serves as Group Head of Operations. In this role, he is setting BP's course for creating a uniform level of safe, responsible, reliable and efficient operations performance. John joined BP as Vice President of Operations Excellence in March 2006 and led the creation of BP's Operating Managing System. From August 2006 through December 2007 John served as Vice President of Safety and Operations for BP America. John is Group co-sponsor for the BP Operations Academy, Managing Operations and Operating Essentials Programs. Prior to joining BP, John spent 33 years working for DuPont in all aspects of site and global operations. Career experiences include a wide array of corporate and site leadership roles including maintenance, operations, support functions; site and multiple site leadership roles; high and low hazard production operations; union and non-union sites; small and large facilities; 'high' and 'low' performance workplace cultures.
