Dean W. Thompson is the plant manager at the DuPont LaPorte site. Dean joined DuPont in 1989 in Orange, Texas as an engineer at the Sabine River Works Plant. In 1995 he transferred to Parkersburg, WV as a process safety and quality manager in the Teflon* Monomer plant. He held several additional roles in that unit, and in 1999 he became production superintendent in the Teflon* Monomer plant.
